Readings is a record of exercises in shared study and creative exchange that ground my curatorial work. Each study explores the assumptions that link areas of common life to appeals to the sacred and calls for material transformation.

These activities reflect my interest in defining a relationship to art that is committed to both imaginative freedom and social responsibility but one that also moves beyond polarities of essence and structure—to be fully attentive to the durability of a planet that is finite and worlds that are fragile.

Stewarding spaces of study, gatherings devoted to the reciprocation of time and attention, is how I aim to honor the charge of care at the root of the term curation.
